WELCOME
Welcome to the Gold Hill History Museum, officially known as Historic Gold Hill, Inc. We welcome you to visit us at our museum located at 661 Pine Street in Gold Hill, Boulder County, Colorado. We are open annually on weekends and holidays from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Our exhibits include ancient history of the Gold Hill area, a look back at our mining days, colorful characters and your possible ancestors, merchants, transportation, education, historic and unique structures and newer history including the Bluebirds, musicians, and many more ever-changing exhibits.

Learn about the agricultural, hunting and foraging practices that sustained the people who have resided in the Gold Hill area throughout the centuries.

In 2020 there was no toilet paper to be found in the stores, so we started wondering what people did in the past.

The Bluebirds of Gold Hill
The Bluebird Organization played a large role in shaping and preserving the history of the area in the early 1900’s.

The History of Mining
From gold to tellurium, mining has been intertwined with the history of Gold Hill since the town was founded in 1859.
