GOLD HILL HISTORY MUSEUM

For approximately 50 years beginning in 1920, a group of women fondly known as “the Bluebirds” visited Gold Hill each summer. They arrived via any means of transportation that existed at the time, including a “bus” driven by Tim Walters.

In 2020 there was no toilet paper to be found in the stores, so we started wondering what people did in the past.

The Bluebird Organization played a large role in shaping and preserving the history of the area in the early 1900’s.

From gold to tellurium, mining has been intertwined with the history of Gold Hill since the town was founded in 1859.
